Ask HN: How do you prepare for investor meetings?
Do you research the attendees, look at their portfolio companies? Or do you just focus on preparing your pitch?

I have yet to pitch to investors. That said, when I am pitching an idea or concept to others I always try to know what my end goal is, get my verbal or visuals all figured out so my conveying of ideas and such is as smooth as can be.
I want people who are willing to explore ideas and random concepts, but who also have faith in trying and failing. I am not looking for someone who is insincere in their interest or support nearly because of financial opportunity.
Agree. You want people who are geniunely interested and curious
Do you research the people you're sharing your project with beforehand? Or are they mostly people you already know?
If God wants you to raise, you will raise, otherwise all the preparation will yield in nothing but a fruitless burnout
True. But preparation helps, wont you agree?
